“On the first day of the Dutch lockdown, March 16, 2020, I gave myself the assignment to make a painting every day: 40 x 30 cm, acrylic paint, pastels and sometimes embroidery on canvas. This form gave me the freedom to try out, explore possibilities, and start over every day. The project grew and proliferated by the day and would become an alternative mental landscape to travel through.
It eventually became 444 daily, until June 3, 2021. I built a storage cabinet for them, and the painting are waiting for an opportunity to be shown, like a multicolored diamond.”
