Exhibition in 17th century mansion (24.9.21 till 10.10.21)
She bought the first painting at my debut exhibition and we have remained friends ever since. She is a regular visitor to my exhibitions, also in Germany, in London and Lisbon.
And now she asked me to make an exhibition of my work in her own house, a beautiful 17th century mansion. I grabbed that with both hands.
The art historian Wouter Weijers has written about my work: “Seet’s work can be seen as an enormous complex of imaginary rooms in which treasures are stored”.
I can literally realize this idea in the partly empty rooms: There is a treasury of Memory, of Books, of Dreams, a room of Gold, of Color and Red Thread.
And I made special work about the history of Brink 68.
